The MLK Day Allstars Classic is a week of activities set on MLK day in order to honor and preserve the fight for justice for all people and belief in a better tomorrow.

Some of the top seniors from across the country are invited to Las Vegas, Nevada to play against the best in the nation. The players will receive college coaching, former NFL player coaching, gear, and a week to hone skills with the best of the best in their age range. Each player will be invited 3 days prior to MLK day for 5 total practices before playing in the MLK Day Allstars Football game. Upon receiving the invite, all accommodations will be made including airfare, meals, and hotel stay.

At the players dinner the night before the event we will announce the recipient of the Diversity Rich Abajian Award. Dedicated in honor of Richard Abajian, who left his mark on the UNLV Football Program from 1977-1981 serving as the Rebels’ defensive backs coach, and who throughout his life championed UNLV athletics and football. Richard went on to lead a very successful career in the automotive industry, eventually becoming a partner at Findlay Toyota. Richard’s love for the city of Las Vegas and UNLV athletics drove him to open doors for athletes with job opportunities. He used skills and fundamental values learned in football to lead his team to success, always ensuring that everyone felt important.
